Approach
How It Came Together
Pocket FM's growth depended on converting casual listeners into paying users, so I built the pay-per-episode monetisation feature — a shift from a purely subscription-driven model to one that let users pay for exactly what they wanted to hear next. The feature drove a 40% uplift in in-app purchases, directly tied to giving users a lower-friction way to convert.

I then led the architecture and launch of Pocket Toons, Pocket FM's expansion into visual serialized content, designing the app from the ground up and taking it live across six international markets — the US, UAE, Australia and the UK among them — within three months. That meant owning both the technical build and the go-to-market sequencing across markets with very different user behaviour and payment infrastructure, at a company that had just raised a Series D round and was under real pressure to prove international traction fast
