Approach
How It Came Together
TEAP needed to know exactly who to approach to help meet the USD 250,000 it seeks annually, and in what order. Working with a team of three, I helped screen 53 potential donors across government, multilateral, philanthropic and CSR sectors, scoring each against TEAP's mission and geographic focus to surface 11 high-priority leads. The output was a full donor strategy — a four-phase sourcing-to-shortlist framework, sector-by-sector funding landscape analysis, and a prioritised roadmap — which I paired with updates to TEAP's own website so their online presence matched the pitch.

The 11 shortlisted leads span four funding types — bilateral, multilateral, private foundations and CSR — each mapped against TEAP's need for both flexible, unrestricted funding and larger programme-scale grants. The strategy closes with a practical implementation roadmap: research grants, build partnerships, submit applications, secure funding.
